Job Details Skills SAS ADMIN Experience 8+Years Job type Contract to HIRE Job Description : Install, configure, and maintain SAS software and related products. - Monitor SAS servers, services, and jobs to ensure optimal performance and availability. - Implement and maintain security measures and access controls for SAS environments. - Manage SAS metadata including users, groups, roles, and permissions. - Troubleshoot SAS platform issues and provide timely resolution. - Plan and execute SAS software upgrades and patches. - Collaborate with SAS developers, analysts, and users to deploy applications and solutions. - Develop and maintain documentation related to SAS configurations, processes, and procedures. - Provide technical support and training to SAS users as needed. - Stay current with SAS technologies, updates, and best practices. Requirements: - Proven experience as a SAS Administrator or in a similar role. - Strong knowledge of SAS architecture and components. - Experience with SAS Management Console, SAS Metadata Server, and SAS Grid Computing. - Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell scripting, Python) for automation tasks. - Familiarity with database management systems (DBMS) and SQL. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Role Purpose The purpose of this role is to provide significant technical expertise in architecture planning and design of the concerned tower (platform, database, middleware, backup etc) as well as managing its day-to-day operations Do Provide adequate support in architecture planning, migration & installation for new projects in own tower (platform/dbase/ middleware/ backup) Lead the structural/ architectural design of a platform/ middleware/ database/ back up etc. according to various system requirements to ensure a highly scalable and extensible solution Conduct technology capacity planning by reviewing the current and future requirements Utilize and leverage the new features of all underlying technologies to ensure smooth functioning of the installed databases and applications/ platforms, as applicable Strategize & implement disaster recovery plans and create and implement backup and recovery plans Manage the day-to-day operations of the tower Manage day-to-day operations by troubleshooting any issues, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and developing fixes to avoid similar issues.
