Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Analyze existing SAP WebDynpro / Java WebDynpro applications, architecture, and dependencies.
Design migration strategy and roadmap for transitioning legacy applications to upgraded SAP UI5 / Fiori / ABAP WebDynpro / Java frameworks (as applicable).
Rewrite, re-engineer or refactor application layers ensuring performance, security, and compliance.
Work closely with SAP BASIS, ABAP, UI, Functional, and Database teams to validate migration impact.
Develop reusable components, migration templates, and framework guidelines.

Preferred candidate profile

Strong expertise in SAP WebDynpro Java development, MVC architecture, component configuration, controllers, views, and context mapping.
Solid background in Java/J2EE, Eclipse IDE, SAP NWDI, SAP NetWeaver platform, and Web Services.
Proven experience in Migration/Upgrade projects involving WebDynpro deprecation or platform transitions.
Understanding of SAP Portal / SRM / CRM integration with WebDynpro applications.
Good knowledge in SAP UI5/FIORI, ABAP WebDynpro, and modern UI transformation principles.
Experience with REST/SOAP services, RFCs, OData integration, and backend connectivity.
Familiarity with versioning systems and deployment tools (NWDI, CMS/TLM, CTS+).
