Job Summary:

SAP Production Planning (PP) Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and implement SAP PP module based on business requirements.
  
• Manage end-to-end production planning processes including Demand Management (DM), Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Capacity Planning, and Shop Floor Control.
  
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather functional requirements and translate them into SAP PP system solutions.
  
• Integrate SAP PP with other SAP modules like MM, SD, WM, and QM.
  
• Support master data setup including Bills of Materials (BOM), Work Centers, Routing, and Production Versions.
  
• Monitor and troubleshoot day-to-day SAP PP-related issues and provide support to business users.
  
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  
• Train end users and prepare detailed documentation (functional specs, process documents, training guides).
  
• Participate in system upgrades, enhancement projects, and new rollouts.
  
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the production planning area.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP PP configuration and support.
  
• Strong knowledge of SAP PP sub-modules: MRP, Shop Floor Control, Demand Management, Capacity Planning, etc.
  
• Experience in integrating SAP PP with other modules (MM, SD, QM, WM).
  
• Experience in at least one full SAP implementation or rollout project.
  
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes (discrete, process, or repetitive manufacturing).
  
• Ability to create functional specifications and work with ABAP developers for custom enhancements.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with S/4HANA is a plus.
  
• Exposure to SAP PP-PI (Process Industries) or APO (Advanced Planning & Optimization).
  
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps for PP.
  
• Relevant SAP certification is preferred.
  

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or related field.
