SAP PP/QM Consultant Senior role

Place: Chennai, Guindy.

Type of work : 90 days (on site) and then Hybrid mode.

Position Summary:

The SAP Consultant will collaborate closely with the Client Internal IT Team to enhance production planning and Quality Management processes, contributing to the development of a robust enterprise template. The role encompasses regular support, rollout projects, and the implementation of the Client Enterprise template across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Independently gather requirements, perform functional testing, and execute system configuration/customization.

Create comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications and user guides.

Collaborate effectively with global stakeholders and internal SAP teams to foster a cohesive and high-performing team.

Continuously improve production planning and Quality Management processes to align with business goals.

This position requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills to ensure successful coordination with stakeholders and team members globally.

Key Qualifications:

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience:

SAP PP/QM Expertise: Minimum of 10-13 years of experience in SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM).

End-to-End Implementations: At least two full-cycle SAP implementations completed, demonstrating expertise in project lifecycles.

Core Functional Knowledge:

Strong understanding of Demand Management, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Make-to-Order (MTO) and Make-to-Stock (MTS) processes.

Expertise in handling Planned Orders, Production Orders, and Master Data (including Bill of Materials, Work Centres, Routing and Production version etc.).

Proven experience with Discrete Manufacturing processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Integration Knowledge: Strong understanding of integration between SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, WM, and FI/CO) is preferred.

WM/Handling Unit Management: Experience with Warehouse Management (WM) and Handling Unit Management (HUM) is an advantage.

Technical and Functional Skills:

Demonstrated ability to design, configure, and test SAP PP functionality.

Solid understanding of business processes related to Production Planning and Quality Management.

Ability to document and deliver business process flows and functional specifications.
