Role: SAP HANA Basis Architect

Experience:

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced

Application Architect SAP HANA Basis

professional to serve as the

S/4HANA Lead and Technical SME

for

AMC S/4 and RISE with SAP environments

. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in

SAP Basis administration

S/4HANA migrations (brownfield)

, and

technical architecture design

. This role demands deep technical acumen, leadership capabilities, and the ability to guide complex SAP landscapes across implementation and operations phases.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the
Lead Architect and Technical SME
for
SAP S/4HANA and RISE with SAP
environments.
Oversee
SAP Basis administration
,
system builds
,
upgrades
,
migrations
, and
performance tuning
.
Manage
brownfield migration projects
, ensuring minimal downtime and seamless transition from legacy systems to S/4HANA.
Define and maintain
technical architecture standards
,
landscape designs
, and
system governance frameworks
.
Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure optimal SAP system performance and compliance.
Support
system refreshes, DR setups, HANA DB monitoring, patching, and backup strategy
implementation.
Provide
technical leadership
during project planning, design, and implementation phases.
Troubleshoot complex Basis-related issues, including
performance bottlenecks, upgrade conflicts, and kernel issues
.
Ensure alignment with
SAP best practices
, compliance, and audit readiness across environments.
Maintain strong documentation standards for
architecture diagrams, SOPs, and technical design documents
.

Required Skills & Experience:

8+ years
of experience in
SAP Basis Administration
with strong exposure to
S/4HANA environments
.
Mandatory experience in Brownfield (System Conversion) Projects
.
Hands-on expertise with
RISE with SAP
,
SAP HANA
,
Solution Manager (SolMan)
, and
SAP Cloud Connector
.
Strong understanding of
SAP landscape architecture
,
transport management
, and
system monitoring tools
.
Experience with
HANA sizing, performance optimization, and system refresh strategies
.
Proven experience in
system upgrades, patches, and security configuration (SAP Router, SNC, TLS)
.
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination experience.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

Exposure to
SAP BTP

SAP Cloud ALM
, and
SAP Analytics Cloud integration
.
Familiarity with
OS/DB migration
,
cloud hosting (Azure/AWS/GCP)
