SAP Functional Lead MDG MM

The position of SAP MDG / MM Functional Lead based in Chennai, India within the IT/SAP department requires an experienced individual with a strong background in Materials Management (MM) to join a dynamic team. As the SAP MDG Functional Lead, you will play a crucial role in supporting the MDG and MM functional tracks, ensuring efficient processes, configurations, and integrations across SAP platforms. Proficiency in SAP ECC on HANA 4.6C is essential, and experience with SAP S/4HANA is advantageous. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage the MDG and MM functional tracks, including configuration, customization, and solution implementation. - Develop, design, and optimize master data governance processes within SAP MDG. - Ensure seamless integration of MM processes with MDG and other SAP modules such as SD, PP, and FICO. Project Delivery: - Gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into functional specifications for implementation. - Support project life cycles from blueprinting to testing, training, and go-live activities. - Act as the primary contact for MDG and MM-related tasks, issues, and enhancements. Data Management: - Provide leadership in master data governance strategy, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to streamline master data processes and address issues. Collaboration & Support: - Work with technical teams to design and implement solutions aligned with business requirements. - Offer functional support for SAP MDG and MM systems to ensure minimal downtime and disruptions. - Train end-users and create functional documentation including business process flows and test scripts. Continuous Improvement: - Stay informed about the latest developments in SAP MDG and MM, leveraging industry best practices. - Identify opportunities for process optimization and system enhancements. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. - Experience: 8+ years in SAP functional roles, with at least 5 years specializing in SAP MDG and MM. - Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of MM processes and familiarity with SAP integration tools and methodologies. - Skills & Competencies: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
