Department:

SAP FICO Functional Analyst – Summary

The SAP FICO Functional Analyst supports daily finance operations and leads the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP FI/CO solutions. Reporting to the Sr. Manager IT, this role works closely with global teams, Finance SMEs, and cross-functional departments (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, HR) to deliver efficient, compliant, and scalable financial processes. The role requires hands-on expertise, strong collaboration, and the ability to deliver high-quality projects, solutions, and support within agreed timelines and SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation & Configuration

  • Lead SAP FI/CO implementations: requirements, blueprinting, configuration, testing, and go-live.
  • Align solutions with business processes and regulatory standards.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Build and improve SAP financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) using SAP reporting and BI tools.

Integration Management

  • Manage integration with MM, SD, and 3rd-party applications for smooth data flow and process efficiency.

Process Optimization

  • Evaluate current finance processes and implement improvements to enhance accuracy and operations.

User Training & Support

  • Train end-users, create user guides, and support SAP FICO functionalities.

Project Management

  • Lead/participate in SAP Finance projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure SAP FI configurations follow regulatory guidelines and SAP best practices.

Troubleshooting

  • Resolve complex SAP FI/CO issues, provide technical and functional guidance.

Documentation

  • Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and updates; report project and system status.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Conduct software assessments and make recommendations.
  • Participate in goal-setting and reviews.
  • Provide regular status updates to manage expectations.
  • Escalate critical issues when needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to improve standards and share learnings.

  • Strong reporting and analytics expertise; ability to lead global reporting projects.
  • Effective time management; handles multiple priorities and urgent tasks.
  • Team player with continuous improvement mindset.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 10+ years

    SAP FICO experience (AR, AP, GL, AA, PCA, CCA, COPA, PC).
  • Strong integration knowledge (SD, MM, BI) and 3rd-party interface development.
  • Expertise in

    SAP S/4HANA or ECC

    configuration, integration, and support.
  • Mandatory

    Product Costing

    experience in Supply Chain.
  • ERP core module and process-flow expertise.
  • Pharma/healthcare domain experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to gather requirements, design solutions, and drive change.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of P2P, O2C, R2R processes.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to work US shifts.
  • Domestic/International travel as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead

    SAP FICO module implementations

    FI/CO submodules

    — GL, AP, AR, AA, CCA, PCA, COPA, and Product Costing.
  • Manage

    with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP, HR) and third-party systems.
  • Develop and enhance

    financial reports and analytics

    (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Ensure

    compliance

    with accounting standards, tax laws, and audit requirements.
  • Analyze and

    optimize financial processes

    to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide

    end-user support, training, and documentation

    for SAP Finance processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve

    SAP FICO issues

    ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Collaborate with business, IT, and project teams to deliver

    on-time, within-budget solutions
