Role & responsibilities

SAP FI Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture, design, and configuration of SAP FI solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into SAP solutions.
• Provide expert guidance on Financial Accounting (FI) including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, and Closing processes.
• Ensure integration of FI with other SAP modules (CO, MM, SD, PS, etc.).
• Define and enforce best practices and standards in SAP solution design and implementation.
• Drive SAP FI-related project planning, scoping, and execution.
• Support SAP S/4HANA transformation or migration projects, including greenfield and brownfield implementations.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in FI processes and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead and mentor SAP FI consultants and work with offshore/onshore delivery teams.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX, and audit requirements.
• Work with external partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8–12+ years of hands-on experience with SAP FI module.
• Strong experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA (preferably S/4HANA Finance).
• Expertise in key FI submodules: GL, AR, AP, AA, Bank Accounting, and New GL.
• Experience with integration to CO, MM, SD, and non-SAP systems.
• Proven track record as an SAP Architect or Lead Consultant in large-scale SAP implementations.
• Understanding of financial reporting, taxation, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
• SAP Certification in FI or S/4HANA Finance (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Central Finance, Group Reporting, or Treasury Management.
• Background in Agile methodologies or SAP Activate.
• Experience in multinational or global rollouts.
