Role Overview

SAP EWM Technical Consultant

Key Responsibilities

Technical Development

• Design, develop, and implement

  custom objects

  in SAP EWM using:
• ABAP, OOPS ABAP
  
• ABAP on HANA
  
• Enhancements (BAdIs, User Exits, Implicit/Explicit Enhancements)
  
• RF screens, PPF actions, Forms
  
• EWM-specific frameworks (Queues, Warehouse Orders, Tasks)
  
• Develop

  inbound, outbound, internal warehouse processes

  customizations.
• Build interfaces using

  IDOCs, RFCs, BAPIs

  , OData, and API-based integrations.

Functional/Technical Support

• Work closely with EWM functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  
• Troubleshoot issues in

  inbound/outbound, picking, packing, putaway, replenishment, stock removal

  etc.
• Support

  Production, UAT, SIT

  , and go-live cutover activities.
• Optimize warehouse processes through technical improvements.
  

Integration

• Work on integration with:
  

• SAP S/4 HANA MM, SD, PP

  , and other logistics modules

• SAP ECC

  , non-SAP systems (via IDOC/Interface)
• SAP TM integration exposure is an added advantage
  

Documentation & Quality

• Prepare detailed

  Technical Specification Documents (TSD)

  , test scripts, and change documentation.
• Ensure coding is aligned with

  SAP best practices

  and performance guidelines.

Required Skills & Experience

• 610 years

  of overall SAP experience with

  5+ years in SAP EWM Technical

  .
• Strong proficiency in:
  
• ABAP programming (Classical & OOPS)
  
• RF framework and ITS mobile screens
  
• PPF actions, BRF+, and warehouse process automation
  
• Queue management and debugging in EWM
  
• Performance optimization techniques
  
• Hands-on experience in

  Inbound/Outbound/Physical Inventory

  processes in EWM.
• Experience with

  EWM on S/4HANA

  preferred.
• Good understanding of

  Warehouse Structure, WO creation rules, WT steps

  , and Warehouse Cockpit.
• Experience in

  Agile delivery

  and effective interaction with business stakeholders.

Good to Have

• Experience in

  global rollout projects

  .
• S4 HANA Conversion project experience.
