SAP Developer Role

As an SAP ABAP Developer with 3-5 years of experience, your primary responsibility will be to develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP programs and objects to meet the custom development needs of clients. You will work closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions within the SAP environment. Your expertise in ABAP development will contribute to improving system performance, enabling new functionalities, and ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules.

Responsibilities: 1. Development and Customization: Develop and enhance ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (ABAP RICEF objects) based on functional specifications and business requirements. Customize SAP standard applications to meet specific client needs.

2. Debugging and Troubleshooting: Analyze and debug ABAP programs to identify and resolve technical issues, system errors, and performance bottlenecks. Collaborate with functional consultants and users to understand and address functional issues related to ABAP development. 3. Data Migration: Design and develop data migration programs to facilitate the transfer of data from legacy systems to SAP. Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy during the migration process. Collaborate with data migration teams and stakeholders to define migration strategies and execute data conversions.

4. Integration and Interfaces: Develop and maintain integration interfaces between SAP and external systems using technologies like IDocs, RFCs (Remote Function Calls), BAPIs (Business Application Programming Interfaces), and web services. Collaborate with technical teams and third-party vendors to ensure seamless integration with external systems.

5.Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize the performance of ABAP programs, database queries, and system configurations. Implement best practices and coding standards to improve system response time, memory usage, and overall system performance. 6.Enhancements and Modifications: Implement enhancements and modifications to existing SAP functionality using user exits, BADI (Business Add-In), and enhancement spots. Collaborate with functional consultants and users to understand enhancement requirements and provide technical solutions.

7 Testing and Documentation: Develop and execute unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing for ABAP programs and objects. Document technical specifications, coding changes, and system configurations. Create user manuals and provide technical support and training to end users. •

8. Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for ABAP programs and objects. Monitor system performance, identify and resolve issues, and implement necessary enhancements. Collaborate with basis administrators and technical teams to ensure system availability and stability.
