SAP Basis OSDB Migration

The role of SAP OSDB Migration Basis Associate involves migrating existing Oracle databases to the Azure cloud. As a skilled professional in SAP Basis administration, database migrations, and Azure services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless transition with minimal downtime and data integrity. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing the migration process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design migration strategies, assessing existing Oracle databases for potential issues, and utilizing SAP Migration tools like Software Provisioning Manager and Oracle native backup tools. Post-migration, you will be responsible for monitoring database performance, troubleshooting any issues, and documenting migration processes for future reference and compliance. To excel in this role, you should have at least 4 years of experience in SAP Basis, specifically in handling SAP OS/DB migrations, Oracle database migrations to cloud platforms, and expertise in SAP Basis administration and Oracle database management. Proficiency in migration tools such as SWPM, brtools, RMAN, and oracle data guard is essential, along with familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems in SAP environments. Strong problem-solving skills will be key to addressing any challenges that may arise during the migration process. An added advantage would be experience in handling backup and restore of MaxDB.
