Sap Basis Consultant /Global enterprises system engineer

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain SAP Basis systems and related satellite application, hosted in house or in a third-party data center, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Monitor and troubleshoot SAP Basis systems and related satellite application, performing regular health checks (eg. Job monitoring, interfaces checks, ) and applying patches and updates as necessary.
• Coordinate with third-party data center providers to ensure optimal performance and resolve any issues promptly.
• Support and participate in various infrastructure projects, including network, server, and storage management.
• Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure solutions to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with global IT teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective infrastructure solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and best practices in all infrastructure-related activities.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in infrastructure technology, SAP Basis administration and related roadmap.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in SAP Basis administration and backend associated (Windows Servers), including system installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Proven experience managing systems hosted in third-party data centers (suggested experience on SAP private cloud, public cloud, Rise with SAP).
• Strong understanding of integration technologies (eg. SAP BTP, SAP NW, ), satellite systems (eg. BPC, VIM, CPI, ..) and infrastructure technologies supporting SAP (eg.: cloud, on premise, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a global, distributed team environment.
• Relevant certifications in SAP Basis or infrastructure technologies are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a global or multinational organization.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Project management skills and experience.
