Sap Basis Consultant

Responsibility: -

System Installation and Configuration:

• Perform SAP Installation, Post installation, client administration, System Refresh and Post-Refresh activities as required.
• Performing system copies and client copies for various purposes like testing, development, or disaster recovery.

System Maintenance and Support:

• Performing regular maintenance tasks, such as applying support packages, patches, and kernel upgrades, to keep systems running smoothly. Oversee system installations, upgrades, and migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption. Conduct regular performance assessments, tuning, and capacity planning for all SAP systems

Performance Tuning and Optimization:

• Manage system performance, including monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting SAP environments on Private Cloud to ensure high availability ,reliability and performance.
• Perform parameter modification, Buffer, memory management, performance tuning and troubleshoot. Analyze system logs, performance metrics ,Early-Watch-Report and recommend/implement improvements, , modify SAP system parameters to improve system performance.

Security Management:

• Perform Role Creation, Modification and Full trouble shooting support for the users authorization failures in all SAP applications and resolving the Security issues and support in integration testing of Roles/Profiles and manage user activities. Providing technical support to SAP users, resolving any technical issues that arise and providing guidance on the use of SAP systems
• Perform SAP Licensing Identify inactive user, user classification and prepare System Measurement result for SAP Global Audit team.
• Setting up and maintaining technical monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential issues.

Database Administration:

• Perform SAP Database Administration – Space management, database reorganizations, design and implement backup and restore strategy, maintain database security, administer database performance, database problem determination and resolution, etc.
• Responsible for managing and protecting sensitive data within SAP systems, including data backup and recovery procedures

Transport Management:

• Maintain the integrity of the SAP environment by managing SAP Change and Transport System (CTS) to ensure proper movement of configuration and development objects between systems.

Cloud Migrations:

• Configuration and integration of connectivity, SaaS, On-Prem, Cloud Understanding of SAP BTP , DMS and SAC capabilities.

Documentation:

• Creating and maintaining documentation for SAP systems, including configuration guides and troubleshooting procedures. Perform OSS / SAP Service Marketplace: Searching notes & creating OSS messages for the respective queries to improve the Performance. And software download, Maintain System Data, License Key & Maintenance Certificate, Developer & object registrations and connection maintenance etc.

Job Skills:

Bachelor's or Master degree in computer science or related field with SAP BASIS certification with 4 to 5 years of experience as SAP BASIS Consultant. Experience in performing a role as a Technical Consulting at least three end-to-end projects (Upgrades, Implementations ).

• SAP Basis Administration including system refreshes and SAP HANA Administration, NetWeaver including installation, upgrade, patching, backup/restore, and Basis troubleshooting (ABAP & J2EE stacks). Experience in workflow, various interfacing methods.
• Ability to interact with functional experts of SD,MM,PP, FICO etc. for managing and configuring segregation of duties and data security.
• Strong understanding of SAP systems, in memory database technology hardware
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ,communication and interpersonal skills
