Job Description

Role Objective: SAP basis administrator provides leadership for SAP Basis team covering implementations, upgrades, migrations, hardware sizing, User & License Management & landscape design on various combinations of OS & DB platforms including SAP ECC & SAP HANA. Key Responsibilities System Performance Monitoring : Monitor various system performance aspects including work processes, lock entries, background jobs, CPU utilization, database space, ABAP dumps, reviewing SM21 logs and work process trace files, performing System restarts for Maintenance activities. Transport Management: Responsible for managing transport activities across the system landscape changes from development to production environments. Job Scheduling and Monitoring: Schedule and monitored jobs as per functional and business requirements. Analyze & Report ST22 ABAP dumps. User Maintenance/Role Management: Manage user-related tasks, including user/role creation and deletion through Central User Administration (CUA), Role management and Authorizations, SOD reviews and actions. Technical Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Resolve RFC issues, AL11 directories, updated certificates in STRUST, SOST management and setting, Conversant with Service Market Place to browse, analyses and , extract EWA Reports External Audit and Process Improvement: Participated in external audit activities within the production system. Incorporated feedback from auditors to enhance existing processes. Demonstrated experience in SAP Basis administration, including experience in standard SAP procedures such as client copies, database refreshes, patching, transport management, upgrades and performance tuning of database and SAP applications Perform Setup and Configuration of Solution Manager in order to monitor & administer the SAP systems. Provide support for Disaster Recovery and DR test as required Migration & System Upgrades: - Should have Installations, Hana System Replication, S4Hana Upgrades, Troubleshooting startup issues, HANA migration from on prem to cloud, Basis archiving tasks, HANA db user management, HA config, Database revision upgrades, Readiness checks, HANA SP and revision upgrades, SAP HANA studio tasks such as adhoc backups, Recovery. Having Experience on Cloud Migrations & Lift and Shift Projects. Skills: Database: (SQL, Oracle, HANA 2.0) OS: (AIX, SUSE Linux, Redhat Linux, Windows) Communication tools: (Service now, Freshservice, ETC). Third party Integration using Middleware & Web dispatchers. Problem Solving, Analytical, Interpersonal, Verbal & Written Communication Skills. Qualification : BE / B-Tech / BSC / MSc in Information Technology with 5 to 7 years of Experience as SAP Basis Administrator. Practice and Other Requirements : Knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA & Integration with Non-SAP is must. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word.
