Job Description

SAP ABAP for HANA Developer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement optimized
ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements (RICEFW)
, and forms on the
SAP HANA platform
.
Utilize
ABAP Development Tools (ADT) in Eclipse
to develop and consume
CDS Views (Core Data Services)
for optimized data modeling and consumption.
Implement
AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures)
to push down complex logic to the HANA database layer for maximum performance.
Optimize existing and new ABAP code for
SAP HANA's in-memory capabilities
, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
Develop and troubleshoot interfaces using technologies like
ALE/IDoc, RFC, BAPI
, and
OData services for Fiori/UI5 applications
.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and provide support for user acceptance testing (UAT).
Collaborate effectively with functional consultants, business users, and Basis teams throughout the development lifecycle, focusing on S/4HANA best practices.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an
SAP ABAP Developer
with a strong focus on
ABAP for HANA
development.

Skills Required:

Strong hands-on experience in ABAP programming specifically for SAP HANA (ABAP on HANA).
Expertise in developing and consuming CDS Views (Core Data Services).
Proficiency in AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures) and HANA SQLScript.
Solid understanding of
performance optimization techniques for ABAP on HANA
.
Experience with
ABAP Development Tools (ADT) in Eclipse
.
Knowledge of
OData services development
for Fiori/UI5 integration.
Strong debugging skills for complex ABAP and HANA-related issues.
Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA architecture and Universal Journal.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

SAP Certified Development Specialist - ABAP for SAP HANA certification.
Experience with Fiori/UI5 application development.
Knowledge of SAP Cloud Platform (BTP) services for integration or extension.
Familiarity with S/4HANA conversion or implementation projects.
