Position Summary

SAP ABAP Consultant

Key Responsibilities

ABAP Development

• Design, develop, and enhance custom ABAP programs including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms (RICEF).
  
• Develop objects using classical and advanced ABAP techniques such as ALV, BAPI, BADI, User Exits, Enhancements, and OOPs ABAP.
  
• Build CDS Views, AMDP, ABAP on HANA optimized code.
  

ECC to S/4HANA Conversion Expertise

• Support end-to-end brownfield migration projects from ECC to S/4HANA.
  
• Perform custom code remediation, simplification checks, and S/4HANA compatibility adjustments.
  
• Optimize ABAP code for HANA DB performance.
  
• Work with SAP Readiness Check, SUM, and ATC tools for conversion activities.
  

Implementation & Project Delivery

• Participate in S/4HANA Greenfield or Brownfield implementations.
  
• Collaborate with functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
  
• Develop technical specifications and deliver high-quality technical solutions.
  
• Participate in unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and production support.
  
• Resolve issues during cutover and post-go-live sessions.
  

Forms & Integrations

• Develop SmartForms, SAPScripts, Adobe Forms.
  
• Work on integration with SAP PI/PO, CPI, and other interface technologies (IDoc/ALE).
  
• Build OData services to support Fiori apps (nice to have).
  

Documentation & Stakeholder Management

• Prepare technical specifications, design documents, and test scripts.
  
• Coordinate with business users, functional consultants, and offshore/onshore teams.
  
• Provide technical guidance to junior consultants.
  

Required Skills & Competencies

• 8–15 years

  of strong experience in

  SAP ABAP

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  ECC to S/4HANA conversion projects

  (mandatory).
• Solid knowledge of

  ABAP on HANA

  , CDS Views, AMDP, performance tuning.
• Experience in

  S/4HANA implementation

  & custom code remediation.
• Strong understanding of RICEF objects & OOPs ABAP.
  
• Knowledge of ATC checks, SCI, SAT, and debugging tools.
  
• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology (preferred).
  
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
