Sap Abap Consultant

Experience:

10+ years in SAP ABAP development with hands-on experience in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior SAP ABAP Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in traditional ABAP development and strong expertise in SAP BTP and CPI. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native SAP applications and integration solutions to support our digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance SAP ABAP applications both on-premise and in SAP BTP environment (ABAP Environment/Steampunk).
• Design, develop, and maintain integration scenarios using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).
• Implement SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and extend SAP S/4HANA solutions using BTP services.
• Create and manage RESTful APIs, OData services, and work with SAP Gateway.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including functional consultants, architects, and business users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in SAP ABAP programs, BTP extensions, and CPI integration flows.
• Follow best practices for cloud development, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide technical documentation and support for development efforts.
• Stay updated with SAP latest releases and innovations in BTP and integration technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Hands-on experience with

  SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)

  including ABAP Environment.
• Strong knowledge of

  SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI)

  developing iFlows, mapping, API management.
• Proficient in SAP S/4HANA and ABAP programming models such as RAP (Restful ABAP Programming).
• Experience in SAP Fiori/UI5 development is a plus.
• Good understanding of integration technologies: SOAP, REST, IDoc, OData, RFC, BAPIs.
• Familiarity with SAP Cloud Connector, Destination configuration, and security models.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, Git, Jenkins for CI/CD.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in Agile teams.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP certifications in ABAP, SAP BTP, or CPI.
• Experience with other SAP BTP services (like SAP Workflow Management, SAP API Management).
• Experience in hybrid cloud/on-premise SAP landscapes.
• Prior experience working with global clients or large SAP projects.
