Job Description

Role SAP ABAP Consultant

Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate, and document customer requirements.
Map client business requirements, processes, and objectives; develop necessary product modifications to satisfy client's needs.
Design, customize, configure and test ABAP solutions.
Identify gaps, and issues and work around solutions.
Act as liaison with clients for troubleshooting: investigate, analyse, and solve software problems.
Handle changes or emergency transport as needed for high-priority issues.
Document functional designs, test cases, and results.
Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements.
Provide consulting services on existing support projects.
Provide ad-hoc training and user support as required.
Work self-directed and independently; may act as subject matter mentor to junior team members..

Skills and Qualifications

3 to 6 years of experience in SAP AMS Support project or in SAP full cycle implementation project.
Should know Core ABAP - Reports, ALV Interactive, BDC, BAPI, I Enhancements, User Exits, Smart-Forms and Scripts Designing, Good Debugging Skills, transform business function requirements into technical program specifications to code and do basic unit testing.
Advanced ABAP - BTE, BADI, OOPS, Performance Tuning.
Basic knowledge of the SAP FICO module is desirable.
Should have worked on Support Incidents, Tickets and Change Requests.
Strong Analytical Skills and ability to write Technical specifications.
S4 HANA Exposure & knowledge of SQL, CDS Views
Work experience in the SAP Support project would be desirable.
