Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accuracy and integrity of software asset data within the asset repository
Reconcile software asset records with multiple data sources and investigate discrepancies
Assist in maintaining software models and lifecycle information
Support creation, maintenance, and allocation of software entitlement records
Track purchased, consumed, and available software licenses and usage rights
Support vendor audit preparation and response activities
Assist with software compliance reviews and optimization for renewals and new purchases
Contribute to the documentation and improvement of SAM processes and procedures
Collaborate with internal teams to support effective software asset governance

Experience & Knowledge

3+ years of experience in Software Asset Management, software licensing, or software contracting
Familiarity with SAM and inventory tools such as Flexera and ServiceNow
Basic understanding of SAM policies, processes, metrics, and tool configuration
Exposure to software licensing agreements from vendors such as Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, Adobe, VMware, and others
Ability to interpret software contracts, licensing terms, and usage metrics
Experience in data analysis using industry-standard tools
Familiarity with software asset management policies and compliance processes
Interest in Software FinOps and willingness to expand knowledge in cost optimization

Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and in teams
Effective written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement
