Job Description

We are looking for a

Salesforce Data Migration Engineer

with hands-on experience in

data migration, ETL development, and automation using Python

. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of Salesforce data management tools and the ability to manage

large-scale, complex data migration projects

efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement
Salesforce-to-Salesforce data migration workflows
using Python, Salesforce Data Loader, and
Bulk API 2.0
.
Extract data from source Salesforce orgs and prepare structured
CSV files
for loading into target orgs.
Perform
data transformations
in Python (deduplication, field mapping, type conversions, referential integrity).
Handle
attachments, rich text fields, and parent-child relationships
during migration.
Automate
batch splitting and parallel loading
for performance optimization on high-volume migrations.
Manage
initial and incremental load cycles
, ensuring readiness for production cutover.
Execute and monitor
Data Loader CLI jobs
, including tuning, log management, and error resolution.
Conduct
post-load validations
and record-level reconciliation between source and target orgs.
Collaborate with Salesforce Admins, Data Architects, and QA teams for smooth migration delivery.
Maintain
backup, rollback, and reconciliation procedures
to ensure data safety and recovery.

Required Skills & Experience:

5-7 years of experience in
data migration or ETL development
.
Strong proficiency in
Python
, including hands-on experience with
Pandas
,
Simple-Salesforce
, and
Salesforce-Bulk
libraries.
Expertise in
Salesforce Data Loader (GUI & CLI)
and
Bulk API 2.0
for large-scale data migration.
Strong understanding of
Salesforce data models
(Accounts, Contacts, Cases, Attachments, EmailMessages, etc.).
Proven ability to handle
large datasets (tens of GBs)
using efficient file-splitting and batching strategies.
Experience with
SOQL
, Salesforce IDs, and
parent-child data mapping
.
Knowledge of
data validation, reconciliation, and automation
best practices.
