Job Description

Position Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the sales team, developing sales strategies, managing key client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role involves setting targets, monitoring performance, analyzing market trends, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue goals.
  • Create annual/quarterly/monthly sales plans and forecasts.
  • Identify new market opportunities and customer segments.

2. Team Leadership & Management

  • Recruit, train, and mentor sales team members.
  • Set individual and team sales targets; monitor performance and provide coaching.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings and performance reviews.

3. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
  • Oversee the handling of major accounts and resolve escalated issues.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

4. Sales Operations & Reporting

  • Track sales metrics, prepare reports, and present performance updates to management.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams for integrated strategies.

5. Process & Performance Optimization

  • Improve sales processes, tools, and methodologies for efficiency.
  • Implement CRM best practices and ensure data accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5–8 years of sales experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Customer-focused with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Data-driven, analytical mindset; proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
