Description
The ideal candidate for this position will be primarily responsible for conducting initial reviews on bid documents and developing relationships with local organizations. As an Estimator, your essential duties will include reviewing and evaluating bid documents, pricing in initial labor figures, assessing cost effectiveness of products/projects/services, meeting or exceeding gross profit goals, proofreading bid documents for special requirements, collaborating with customers/vendors/team members, preparing submittal wrappers, and ensuring all necessary documentation is included. Additionally, you will be expected to prospect via phone/in person with assigned prospects, thoroughly understand the RFP process, balance multiple tasks with changing priorities, work independently to meet deadlines, demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail, and possess clear and professional communication skills both internally and externally. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required. The successful candidate will have a minimum high school diploma or equivalent, along with 3-5 years of experience in Estimation, Project Management, or Field Integration. Experience in the Audio Visual or Construction industry is preferred, as well as SLEP RFP experience. Experience in a global and/or complex matrix business environment is desirable. In terms of skills and abilities, you should be able to handle sensitive and confidential information, interact effectively with employees, clients, and colleagues at all levels of the organization, and maintain a strong customer service focus. This role operates in a professional office environment and may involve moderate noise levels from inter-office conversations and office equipment.
