Sales Assistant – Jewellery

A Sales Assistant in a jewellery store is responsible for delivering excellent customer service while helping customers choose jewellery items such as rings, necklaces, bracelets, and watches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with enquiries
• Provide product knowledge about jewellery materials, gemstones, and care
• Help customers select items suitable for gifts, events, or personal use
• Handle sales transactions accurately using the till or POS system
• Maintain attractive product displays and keep the store tidy
• Follow security procedures to protect valuable stock
• Assist with stock checks, cleaning jewellery, and restocking displays
• Handle customer concerns professionally and politely

Skills and Qualities Required:

• Strong communication and listening skills
• Friendly, confident, and professional attitude
• Attention to detail and good organisational skills
• Trustworthy and responsible due to high-value items
• Basic maths skills for pricing and payments
• Ability to work well in a team and independently

Working Environment:

• Retail jewellery store or boutique
• Standing for long periods
• Weekend and holiday shifts may be required
