Role & responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive manual testing for web and mobile applications, including functional, regression, integration, and UI testing.
• Create detailed, well-structured, and reusable test cases, test plans, and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver to support regression and performance testing.
• Identify, document, and track bugs using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA), and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman, SOAP UI, or similar, validating data flow between services.
• Identify areas for process improvement in testing strategies and participate in QA process enhancement activities.
• Maintain clear and concise documentation for test cases, testing results, and defect reports.
• Work with performance testing tools as needed to ensure applications meet performance benchmarks.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong expertise in manual testing across web and mobile applications.
• Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver for automation (scripting, execution, and debugging).
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman, REST Client, or SOAP UI.
• Familiarity with database testing using SQL queries.
• Good understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and working in fast-paced environments.

Key Performance Indicators:

• Timely execution of test cases with minimal critical defects reported post-release.
• High accuracy in defect identification and reporting.
• Effective automation coverage with Selenium for key application modules.
• Strong collaboration with development and product teams to improve software quality.
• Consistent contribution to process improvement and knowledge sharing within the QA team.
