Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce safety regulations and procedures on site during solar power plant Installation and Commissioning. Conduct regular safety audits and site inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Develop, implement and maintain safety plans, risk assessment and method statement specific to solar installation activities (E.g. Electrical work, working at height, Lifting operations).
- Deliver safety induction, Toolbox talk (TBT) to workers and vendors. Provide training and guidance to workers on safe work practices, fall protection, electrical safety, and emergency procedures.
- Ensure use of Personal protective equipment (PPEs) by all personnel on site.
- Investigate incidents, near misses and accidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain safety documentation and ensure compliance with local EHS laws and regulations.
- Coordinate emergency drills and first aid procedures. Inspect scaffolding, ladders, harnesses, anchoring systems, and other safety equipment to ensure compliance.
- Liaise with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors on EHS matters. Ensure all permits (work at height, hot work, lifting work, etc.) are in place and strictly adhered to.
- Coordinate with clients during site inspections or audits. Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or non-compliance and follow up with corrective actions.

Preferred
: Experience in renewable energy or solar installation projects.Familiarity with fall arrest systems, and rooftop work protocols.
