Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Implement and Oversee Safety Programs: Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards. Conduct Workplace Inspections: Regularly inspect the workplace to identify hazards, evaluate risks, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Investigate Incidents: Investigate accidents, near misses, and other incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective actions. Train Employees: Provide training to employees on safety procedures, hazard recognition, and emergency response protocols. Adhere to Regulations: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to occupational safety and health. Communicate with Management and Employees: Effectively communicate safety information, concerns, and updates to management and employees at all levels. Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of safety inspections, incident investigations, training records, and other relevant documentation. Contribute to Safety Culture: Promote a positive safety culture within the organization by encouraging open communication, proactive hazard identification, and safe work practices. Advise on Safety Matters: Provide guidance and recommendations on safety-related issues to management and employees. Develop and Maintain Safety Procedures: Develop and maintain safety procedures, manuals, and other safety-related materials. Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify and assess potential hazards and risks within the workplace. Manage Incident Reporting Systems: Maintain and manage incident reporting systems to track and analyze safety incidents. Lead Safety Committees: Lead or participate in safety committees to address safety concerns and promote safety initiatives. Ensure Contractor Safety: Ensure that contractors working on-site adhere to the same safety standards as employees.
