Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 1. Site Safety Management Conduct daily site inspections and audits to ensure safety measures are in place. Enforce use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Monitor high-risk activities (e.g., hot work, working at height, confined spaces). 2. Risk Assessment & Hazard Identification Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (HIRA). Recommend corrective and preventive measures. 3. Regulatory Compliance Ensure site complies with OSHA, ISO 45001, local labor laws, and other applicable safety regulations. Maintain required permits, documentation, and records (e.g., incident logs, inspection reports). 4. Training and Awareness Conduct safety inductions for new employees and subcontractors. Provide ongoing training on fire safety, first aid, emergency response, etc. 5. Incident Management Investigate incidents and near misses. Prepare detailed reports and suggest root cause corrective actions (RCCA). Follow up on implementation of corrective actions. 6. Emergency Preparedness Develop and test emergency response plans. Coordinate drills (fire drills, evacuation drills). 7. Communication & Reporting Attend site coordination and safety meetings. Submit daily/weekly safety reports to the safety manager or project head.
