Job Description

As a Ruby Developer at Capgemini, you will play a key role in supporting the transition of the legacy Ruby on Rails system to ASP.NET Core. Your responsibilities will include: - Analyzing and documenting the existing Ruby on Rails codebase. - Collaborating closely with ASP.NET Core developers to ensure an accurate migration. - Providing insights and support throughout the transition phase. - Maintaining and troubleshooting the legacy system during the migration process. - Assisting in data migration and validation. To excel in this role, you should meet the following requirements: - Strong experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails. - Ability to read, understand, and refactor legacy code. - Familiarity with database design and ActiveRecord. - Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. - Experience with system migrations is a plus. In addition to the technical responsibilities, as a Software Engineer at Capgemini, you will apply scientific methods to analyze and solve software engineering problems. You will be responsible for developing and applying software engineering practices, collaborating with other software engineers, and supervising technical and administrative work in the field.
