    About Retail Portfolio Management Group

    The RPMG department focuses on the lending business of the bank by offering various loan products like Home Loans, Car Loans, and Personal Loans among others. They also offer working capital loans and Business loans for Small Businesses and is also responsible for the Rural lending business of the bank

    About the Role

    The Strategy Team for Mortgage products (Home Loan, LAP & Asha) is responsible for overseeing the overall process, strategy, forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing the product-specific market for mortgage loans. This role involves deep analysis of bounce rates, working with the BIU team to formulate Early Delinquency Management (EDM) logics, and ensuring sharper coverage of bounce rates. The Strategy Team will manage a team and ensure the effective implementation of debt servicing strategies for mortgage loan products.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Planning and Analysis:

    • Conduct deep analysis of bounce rates for mortgage loan products to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Work with the BIU team to formulate Early Delinquency Management (EDM) logics and ensure sharper coverage of bounce rates.
    • Analyze all bucketing stock efficiency to ensure the right intervention at the right time.
    • Develop strategies for priority coverage for write-off field collections to maximize recovery.
    • Identify which cases to move to the call center and which to move to the field based on velocity to connect and collect at an optimum cost and efficiency.
    • Monitor product performance, cost, and efficiency to ensure alignment with business goals.

    Operational Management:

    • Roll out incentive schemes for channels based on stock position on the delinquents to motivate and drive performance.
    • Conduct detailed portfolio cut analysis to provide insights to the product and risk team for shaping credit/risk policy.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies to mitigate risks.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies with overall business objectives.
    • Scale up contactless collection – not only in Bounce but also across buckets.
    • Diagnose the portfolio specific to inventory correction of PNPA stock 1-90dpd and develop geography-specific strategies and interventions.
    • Calibrate resourcing and conduct gap analysis to optimize resource allocation.
    • Provide policy and process level feedbacks and status updates to senior management.

    Team Management:

    • Lead and mentor a team of strategy specialists, providing guidance and support to achieve team goals.
    • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and evaluate team performance to ensure high productivity.
    • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment to drive innovation and efficiency.

    Process Improvement:

    • Continuously evaluate and enhance strategy processes and workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Identify opportunities to implement industry best practices and emerging technologies to stay ahead of market trends.
    • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce costs.

    Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to measure the effectiveness of strategies and interventions.
    • Generate detailed reports on portfolio metrics, including bounce rates, recovery rates, and cost efficiency.
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management for decision-making.

    Qualifications

    Optimal qualification for success on the job is:

    • Graduation/Post-Graduation from a recognized institute.
    • 8+ years of relevant experience in strategy and product management.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Knowledge and understanding of collections and market dynamics.
    • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and norms.
    • Basic knowledge of legalities of collections.
