Room Service Order Taker (Female)

Job Purpose

The Room Service Order Taker (RSOT) is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by efficiently handling in-room dining orders, ensuring accuracy, upselling hotel offerings, and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality in line with a 5-star business-class hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Answer in-room dining calls promptly, courteously, and professionally

· Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system

· Provide clear information on menu items, ingredients, and promotions

· Upsell food and beverage items to enhance guest experience and revenue

· Coordinate closely with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely delivery

· Confirm order details, special requests, allergies, and preferences

· Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints politely and efficiently

· Ensure billing accuracy and proper posting of charges to guest rooms

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the order-taking area

· Follow hotel SOPs, hygiene standards, and service protocols

· Support the team during peak hours and special events

Required Skills & Competencies

· Excellent verbal communication skills in English (additional languages preferred)

· Pleasant personality with a guest-focused attitude

· Strong listening skills and attention to detail

· Ability to multitask and work under pressure

· Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with POS systems

· Professional phone etiquette and grooming standards

Qualifications

· Minimum: Diploma / Hotel Management certification preferred

· Experience:

o 1–2 years of experience in a similar role in a 4-star or 5-star hotel preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹19,000.00 per month
