Job Description

You will be responsible for leading and developing path/motion planning algorithms, including route planning, trajectory optimization, decision making, and open space planning. Additionally, you will be developing perception algorithms for personnel detection, object detection, tracking, classification, terrain mapping, and localization. Your role will involve participating in R&D programs from initial inception through production and researching new technology in perception & path planning. You will be required to develop production quality code and take ownership of your algorithms from design to production. Running simulations for path planning algorithm development and testing various scenarios will also be part of your responsibilities. Moreover, you will be testing code on mining and construction equipment. - Lead and develop path/motion planning algorithms - Develop perception algorithms for various tasks - Participate in R&D programs and research new technology - Develop production quality code and own algorithms - Run simulations for path planning algorithm development - Test code on mining and construction equipment - BE/ME/PhD in Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field - Strong programming skills with C/C++ on Linux OS and middleware such as ROS/ROS2 and DDS - Highly skilled in motion planning and control theory - Understanding of graph-based data structures and localization techniques - Knowledge of search-based algorithms, path planning, and obstacle avoidance - Hands-on experience in robotic and/or vehicle system design and implementation - Experience with programming computer vision/perception systems software - Knowledge of PyTorch/CuDNN tools, Python, and Tensorflow - Experience with ROS for simulation and path planning - Strong math background and computational geometry skills - Knowledge of embedded systems and experience with ADAS - Experience with MATLab/FPGA/ARM processor would be advantageous,
