Job Description

As a RO Plant Operator, your primary role is to operate, monitor, and maintain the Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment plant to ensure a continuous supply of treated water that meets quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: - Operate and monitor the RO plant and associated equipment such as pumps, filters, chemical dosing systems, and storage tanks. - Conduct routine inspections to ensure proper functioning of the plant. - Carry out scheduled backwashing, cleaning, and replacement of membranes, filters, and cartridges. - Perform water quality testing (pH, TDS, hardness, turbidity, chlorine, etc.) and maintain records. - Adjust chemical dosing and operating parameters based on water quality test results. - Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve minor operational or mechanical issues. - Maintain daily logbooks, reports, and records of plant operations and water quality. - Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations. - Coordinate with maintenance teams for repair, servicing, and preventive maintenance of equipment. - Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of the RO plant premises. Qualifications & Skills: - ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or relevant discipline. - Minimum 3 years of experience in the operation of water treatment/RO plants (industrial or commercial). - Knowledge of RO system operations, water chemistry, and preventive maintenance. - Ability to operate testing equipment and analyze water samples. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Basic computer knowledge for data entry and reporting. - Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergency situations. In this role, you will be working in a plant-based environment with exposure to industrial machinery, water treatment chemicals, and varying environmental conditions.
