The Residency RN - Transition to Practice Program presents an exceptional chance for both new graduate RNs and experienced RNs seeking to transition into hospital or new specialty areas. This program is designed to assist you in cultivating a robust nursing practice that embodies competence, autonomy, and a strong sense of purpose. Participants in the program will benefit from a blend of classroom learning and hands-on clinical experience under the guidance of seasoned preceptors who excel in their respective fields. This approach aims to enhance not only their theoretical knowledge but also their practical skills in delivering high-quality patient care and services. Key Responsibilities: - Acquire proficiency in assessing, planning, coordinating, evaluating, and delegating nursing functions for individuals of all ages, families, caregivers, and populations - Apply the nursing process to deliver care and health education, focusing on maintaining health, promoting wellness, and preventing illness - Work collaboratively to execute medical regimens as directed by physicians - Collaborate with the team to drive improvements in care quality, patient experience, and cost-effectiveness Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or completion within five (5) years of initial hire date; RNs with over 15 years of service may be considered in lieu of educational requirements - Preferred advanced degree in Nursing (such as MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) - Active Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement - Current BLS Certification is mandatory - ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications within 90 days of hire as per departmental requirements - TNCC, LNPC, PEARS certifications within 1 year of hire as per departmental requirements As a MultiCare employee, you are expected to embody our core values of Respect, Integrity, Stewardship, Excellence, Collaboration, Kindness, and Joy.
