Job Description

As a Risk Engineer at Allianz, your primary responsibility will be to conduct desktop risk assessment reviews for Commercial Large Corporate clients in the Natural Resources & Construction sector. You will play a crucial role in supporting the Underwriting function and the Global Engineering Network by providing technical risk reviews for both prospective and existing clients. Building professional relationships with key stakeholders, making informed decisions, and summarizing key risk issues and loss scenarios based on your engineering judgment will be essential aspects of your role. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing loss control recommendations, reviewing client responses, and ensuring compliance with required actions. Upon onboarding, you will receive technical and procedural training, which may be conducted virtually or on-site at Allianz offices in India. There is an opportunity for further development within the organization, and as the team expands, additional responsibilities may be assigned. The team's objective is to enhance client service continually, contribute to management strategies focused on innovation, improve working practices, enhance risk quality, and introduce new concepts for the benefit of clients and underwriting. Some specific responsibilities in this role include: - Assisting Global Allianz Underwriting in risk selection and retention. - Providing guidance to Underwriters on construction and operational risks in the renewable energy sector, particularly in areas such as onshore wind farms, solar PV plants, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Hydro-electric plant. - Evaluating risk information, conducting desktop reviews and risk analyses for both existing and new business, and summarizing the risk quality of portfolios and large accounts/programs. - Analyzing various data types to assess client, location, and project/account risk profiles and preparing dashboards and trend analyses as required. Qualifications and Skills required for this role: - Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. - Professional engineering qualifications, experience in the power sector, and expertise in risk assessment, particularly in power generation and the renewable energy sector, are advantageous. - Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices. - Experience in an insurance company is a plus. - Strong digital and data analytical skills.,
