Risk Consulting Analyst 2 - Managed Security

As a cybersecurity analyst at RSM, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients in different industries, investigating security incidents, analyzing and escalating critical security issues, and improving existing processes. You will be part of a collaborative team environment, working under the direction of senior analysts and managers to support multiple clients. Here are some key responsibilities you can expect in this role: - Investigate security incidents using various cybersecurity technologies such as SIEM tools, automation, and services like ServiceNow, Stellar Cyber, Hyas Insight, and DNS Protect. - Analyze and escalate critical security incidents, assisting in their remediation. - Challenge and improve existing processes in a fast-paced information security environment. - Process IDS alerts and identify incidents in customer data. - Perform vulnerability scans and analyze the results. - Conduct advanced analysis and investigation into alerts. - Perform basic malware analysis using automated tools. - Write incident reports, process documentation, and interact with clients as needed. - Implement atomic indicators into a monitoring environment. - Work with various network protocols and develop playbooks for incident response. - Drive automation efforts to improve response activities. - Process Cyber Threat Intel for issue prioritization and threat preparation. - Be open to working shifts in a 24x7 operations environment. Qualifications and Experience required for this role: - Minimum B.A. or B.S. degree in computer science, information technology, or related field. - 3-5 years of experience in a security operations center or a similar role. - Security industry certification such as CYSA+, Security+, CISSP, SANS GIAC. - Knowledge of security standards, compliance frameworks, and best practices. - Curious mindset and problem-solving approach. - Understanding of cloud technologies and operating systems. - Familiarity with IP network protocols.
