As a Credit Risk Governance Manager , you will: Oversight, review and challenge of line 1 personal credit risk activities. Identify trends, risks, issues and opportunities; resolve them and/or escalate to senior management as required. Assistance in developing changes to strategy, policy and process to simplify and enhance credit risk end-to-end processes. Delivery of 2nd line credit assurance and control effectiveness activities, including thematic reviews and reporting to forums/committees as required to educate a broad stakeholder group and to influence continued focus on uplift. Support management of the credit risk governance, associated or relevant documentation and processes relevant to Personal Credit Risk NZ, namely: NZ Personal Credit Risk Governance Framework, Integrated Assurance Plan (IAP), Targeted Credit Assurance and CAD Frameworks, Risk Management Attestation (RMA), and Model Governance Frameworks etc. Ensure compliance with relevant internal and external compliance requirements (internal policy and prudential standards and guides). Management of the non-financial risk frameworks (IAM) and all activities relevant to Personal Risk NZ. Continual uplift of credit risk governance, utilising automation and digital solutions wherever possible. Be a trusted operational risk and compliance SME for Personal Credit Risk NZ. Contribution to broader team development and capability uplift to enable delivery of current and future elements of long-term strategy. Building collaborative relationships with New Zealand and Global colleagues to enable objectives to be achieved and learnings shared. Assisting with prioritisation of tasks and projects to ensure optimal resource usage and business benefit and supporting effective management of workloads, without compromising quality of deliverables. Responsible for on-time delivery of activities above. Achieve productivity gains through process resource and efficiency. Manage the provision of secure, compliant, efficient, cost-effective and value-adding professional services. What will you bring To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: Must have knowledge, skills and experiences Background in understanding and knowledge of retail credit risk policies, processes and requirements. 5+ years financial services experience in either credit, governance, risk, compliance or audit. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and to influence change. Collaborative mindset and driven towards efficiency and knowledge sharing within and across teams. Excellence in being able to prioritise the things that matter, having a curious mindset, deliver what matters in a timely and efficient manner and ability to be agile whilst staying true to the agreed core priorities and strategy. Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs. Sound analytical, numerical, research and problem-solving ability to turn information into actionable strategy. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing. Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and work to achieve deadlines. Desire to understand ANZ NZ banking environment to be able to contextualise information. Good to have knowledge, skills and experiences Proven ability to design, enhance and report assurance outcomes and strategy to risk forums or committees. Sound understanding of best practice governance disciplines, strategies, and techniques. Understanding of ANZ existing source and reporting systems. Knowledge of ANZ s non-financial risk management frameworks and activities. Knowledge of ANZ s compliance and operational risk platform (NFR hub). Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. legal, risk, audit, mathematics/statistics, economics and/or finance).
