Role Overview: As a Retail Buyer (Buying & Merchandising) specializing in Ethnic wear for a Reputed Retail brand in Gurgaon, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the product selection and development within the Ethnic, Fusion, and Indo-western wear category. With a required experience of 5 to 10 years in this field, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all orders are executed efficiently and that deliveries are made on time and in the correct quantity. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor, study, analyze, and understand market trends for different categories of garments, utilizing the data to predict future results. - Ensure that customer expectations are met in terms of fashionability, variety, quality, and price. - Translate trends into saleable options to achieve target sales and margins. - Place purchase orders with approved suppliers in accordance with established agreements. - Conduct negotiations of purchase value and terms with suppliers for spot buys and unique site suppliers. Qualification Required: - 5-10 years of experience in product selection and product development, particularly in the Ethnic wear category. - Strong analytical skills to monitor and analyze market trends effectively. - Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable purchase value and terms. - Previous experience in a retail brand environment is preferred.
