Job Description

A Restaurant Captain supervises front-of-house staff, manages the dining area, and ensures a high-quality guest experience by handling reservations, coordinating with the kitchen, and resolving guest issues. Key responsibilities include leading and training service teams, maintaining service standards, overseeing inventory and cleanliness, and contributing to efficient restaurant operations through strong leadership and communication. Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Experience & Service:
  • Oversee and manage the dining area to ensure efficient, courteous service.
  • Assist with managing reservations, seating plans, and guest inquiries.
  • Address customer complaints and handle guest concerns to ensure satisfaction.
  • Build rapport with guests to foster loyalty and gather feedback.
  • Staff Supervision & Training:
  • Supervise, train, and mentor restaurant servers and front-of-house staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for restaurant staff.
  • Organize duty rosters and manage staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Operations & Logistics:
  • Coordinate activities between the front of house and kitchen staff.
  • Ensure table settings, cleanliness, and food safety standards are met.
  • Manage inventory and supplies for the dining and beverage service areas.
  • Oversee special events, parties, and buffets.
  • Leadership & Communication:
  • Provide strong leadership to motivate and guide the service team.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, management, and guests.
  • Empower team members and encourage problem-solving.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Leadership & Management: Strong leadership to manage teams and operations.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer Service: A customer-centric approach with strong observational and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources efficiently.
  • Food & Beverage Knowledge: Understanding of food, beverages, and service standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to handle conflicts and resolve issues effectively.
  • Experience: Several years of experience in food service or hospitality is often required.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
