Job Title: Resident Engineer for Storm Water Drainage Project. Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu Employment Type: Full-time Project Duration: 18 Months Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to oversee the completion of an ongoing Storm Water Drainage Project . The ideal candidate will provide site-based leadership, supervise contractors, ensure compliance with project specifications, and coordinate closely with the project team, stakeholders, and authorities. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and manage day-to-day construction activities on-site. Ensure works are executed as per the approved designs, specifications, and quality standards. Monitor project timelines and report on progress. Review and approve technical submittals and shop drawings. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and government authorities. Identify and resolve on-site issues and deviations from plans. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards. Maintain site records, prepare progress reports, and attend progress meetings. Qualifications: Bachelors / masters degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum 25 years of experience in infrastructure projects, with at least 15 years in storm water drainage project or drainage systems . Proven experience as a Resident Engineer or in a supervisory role on similar projects. Strong knowledge of storm water drainage systems , hydraulics, and infrastructure construction. Familiarity with local regulations, codes, and permitting processes. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Professional Engineering License is an advantage. Experience with multilateral-funded projects such as KfW, World Bank, ADB, JICA, etc., is an added advantage. Regards, S. Murugesan, Manager HR.
