The Resident Engineer - EM will be responsible for overseeing and managing all electrical and mechanical (EM) works for metro projects. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in EM systems, project execution, and stakeholder coordination. The candidate will ensure the successful delivery of EM systems, adhering to quality, safety, and project timelines while meeting international standards.

Job Duties:

  1. Project Oversight

    • Lead and manage the execution of electrical and mechanical works for metro projects.
    • Ensure all EM activities are carried out in compliance with project specifications, standards, and timelines.
  2. Design Review Coordination

    • Review and approve EM designs, drawings, and technical specifications.
    • Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of EM systems.
  3. Installation, Testing Commissioning

    • Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of EM systems, including HVAC, power supply, lighting, fire detection, and other related systems.
    • Ensure proper functionality and integration of EM systems with other project components.
  4. Quality Assurance

    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
    • Identify and address any deviations or non-conformities in EM works.
  5. Safety Compliance

    • Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel involved in EM activities.
    • Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  6. Stakeholder Management

    • Act as the primary point of contact for EM-related matters with clients, contractors, and consultants.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders.
  7. Progress Monitoring Reporting

    • Monitor project progress and prepare detailed reports on EM activities for senior management.
    • Identify potential delays and implement corrective measures to maintain project schedules.
  8. Team Leadership

    • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians involved in EM works.
    • Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical or related field).

  • Minimum 15 years of total professional experience, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in metro projects focused on EM systems.
  • Proven expertise in managing large-scale EM works, including installation, testing, and commissioning.
