Research Scientist - Special Technologies

As an RS/SRS in the Manufacturing Strategy department of CSM AgChem in Udaipur, your role involves developing assigned projects within a given timeframe using new technology. This includes conducting thorough literature surveys, bench scale trials, preparing SOPs, and necessary documentation. Additionally, you will demonstrate the developed chemical process to the PD team, provide support in KL, pilot plant, and commercial plant for successful technology transfer. Key Responsibilities: - Understand the objective of the project/chemistry/MSDS - Conduct additional literature search as required - Plan experiments, procure raw materials, and analyze data - Maintain lab equipment and ensure proper housekeeping and use of PPEs - Develop processes using flow chemistry (Micro/Mesoreactors) - Choose suitable reactors and pumps for process development in Flow Technology - Identify appropriate equipment for downstream operations in continuous manufacturing - Generate data for scale-up studies using Design of Experiment mechanism - Ensure efficient scale-up of processes by collaborating with the Process Chemist team - Identify cost reduction opportunities in projects running at a commercial scale using flow technology - Optimize resource utilization - Participate in problem-solving sessions and training programs - Drive coordination and communication within the team - Deliver projects on time with the target yield and quality, minimizing waste - Ensure smooth scale-up up to KL/PP - Uphold safety standards and housekeeping practices - Inspire and motivate employees by exemplifying effective leadership and commitment to the company's values, vision, and mission - Foster collaboration and cross-functional networking within the team - Foster knowledge sharing within the team - Maintain positive working relationships with related teams and departments Qualification Required: - Master/Doctorate in Organic Chemistry from a reputed University/Institute - 0-8 years of industrial experience - Industry experience in Agro chemicals/fine chemicals/pharma-API/Specialty chemicals - Experience in Flow Chemistry/Technology - Practical experience with flow reactors (Static and Dynamic) - Proficiency in handling different types of pumps - Strong documentation, report writing, and MS Office skills - Data management and analytical data interpretation capabilities In your interactions, you will collaborate with the DGM-Flow Chemistry & Process Safety as required to review the progress of each project on Flow Technology.,
