Research Fellow

The Directorate of Extension Education at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana is seeking applications for the position of Research Fellow in the project titled "Popularization of Surface seeding-cum-mulching- A low cost and eco-friendly technique for paddy straw management and wheat sowing in Punjab, Misc.-54 (PC-5398)." This position offers a fixed salary of Rs.37,000/- per month along with a House Rent Allowance (HRA) of 16%. Candidates interested in this opportunity should meet the following essential qualifications: - B.Tech/B.Sc. (Agri.)/ B.Sc. Agri. (Hons)/B.Sc. (Hort.)/B.Sc (Forestry)/B.Sc/BCA with a minimum OCPA of 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks. - M.Sc. in Agronomy/ Soil Science or equivalent with a minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks. Candidates with a NET qualification may be recruited as Research Fellow at the specified salary. Desirable qualifications include work experience in the relevant field and exposure to data analysis. Candidates with a Ph.D. are exempt from the NET requirement. Interested candidates who fulfill the above qualifications are required to submit their applications in the prescribed format along with attested copies of testimonials and a bank draft of Rs. 200/- favoring the Comptroller, PAU. The deadline for submission is 30.07.2025 by 5.00 p.m. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview on 05.08.2025 at 10.00 a.m. at the office of the undersigned. Original copies of testimonials must be presented during the interview. No travel or dearness allowance will be provided for attending the interview. The Research Fellow position is temporary and will be co-terminus with the project. Initially, the fellowship will be awarded for six months, with the possibility of extension for another six months or until the project concludes, whichever is earlier.
