This role involves research at the intersection of thermodynamics, discrete element modelling, and neural networks to advance the understanding of granular materials. Recent relevant publications by the research team include work on thermodynamics-informed hierarchical learning and deep learning-based modeling strategies for granular materials. Requirements A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field. Demonstrated research or professional experience in one or more of the following areas: thermodynamics, constitutive modelling, discrete element modelling (DEM), or neural networks. Experience across multiple areas is highly desirable. Proficiency in coding, particularly in Python and/or C++. Strong teamwork abilities and effective communication skills. Willingness to work on a fixed-term contract.
