Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Kilo Lab Chemist to support the scale-up of chemical processes from laboratory to kilo-scale. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in synthetic organic and process chemistry, hands-on experience with kilo-lab equipment, and a commitment to safety and good documentation practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute kilo-scale chemical synthesis based on procedures developed by process chemists or scientists.
Assist in process scale-up and technology transfer from lab scale to kilo lab or pilot plant.
Operate and maintain kilo-lab equipment such as reactors, vacuum pumps, distillation units, and filtration systems .
Monitor and control critical reaction parameters including temperature, pressure, time, and agitation.
Conduct work-up, purification, and isolation of target compounds using standard techniques.
Maintain accurate and detailed experimental records , observations, and results in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) .
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including process chemists, analytical teams, and safety personnel.
Follow GMP/GLP guidelines , HAZOP procedures , and conduct necessary risk assessments .

Strong background in synthetic organic chemistry and process chemistry .
Demonstrated experience in scaling up processes from lab to kilo scale.
Familiarity with HAZOP studies , risk assessment , and safety protocols.
Proficiency in using and maintaining kilo-lab equipment.
Basic understanding of analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, NMR (in collaboration with analytical teams).
Knowledge of GMP/GLP standards and good documentation practices .
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualification: MSc Chemistry

Experience: 2-8 years of experience in the API industry.
