Research Assistant - Biology

Role Overview: As a Research Assistant in the Biology department at CreAgro, located in Udaipur, your main responsibility will be to support research scientists in conducting biology experiments and trials. You will assist in preparing planting material in the greenhouse, pre-trial preparations in the laboratory, making applications, and performing other lab activities. Key Responsibilities: - Keep attendance records of lab/greenhouse workers, assign work, and provide regular updates - Plan day-to-day work as per requirements - Manage laboratory culture/nursery with critical observations and updates to the supervisor - Ensure nursery area is disease and insect-free, delivering seedlings for compound testing free from infestations - Maintain laboratory area contamination-free - Record all seed material with delivery dates, sowing dates, transplanting dates, and delivery for compound testing - Provide an advance plan for purchasing materials required in stores - Follow best practices for maintaining the best conditions in the greenhouse/laboratory - Collect hazardous waste in a timely manner, pack inside the chamber, and autoclave - Maintain records for hazardous waste management - Ensure quality standards and health safety in the greenhouse nursery - Deliver media, reagents, etc., on time to research scientists - Support research scientists in applying compounds and conducting experiments - Act as a committed ambassador of the PI Brand - Stay updated with knowledge required for new AI discovery activities in crop protection through continuous personal knowledge updating Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in biology, preferably in Zoology, Microbiology, Agriculture, or Botany - 0-2 years of experience in greenhouse nursery/handling lab equipment - Industry experience from University/agriculture/crop protection - Knowledge of microbiology, agriculture, horticulture, biology, and greenhouse - Proficiency in MS Office Skills (Note: Any additional details of the company are not provided in the given job description),
