Position: R&D Scientist -Surfactants

Location: Bharuch Industrial Area, Gujarat

Qualification: Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced R&D Scientist with 3-5 years of hands-on and leadership experience in process R&D within the Surfactants & Emulsifiers industry. The role involves driving development, optimization, and scale-up of organic molecules from lab to pilot/commercial scale, ensuring cost-effective, safe, and sustainable processes.

Requirements :

• Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry with 35 years of industrial R&D experience
• Minimum 2 years in the Surfactant & Emulsifiers industry
• Strong expertise in esterification, sulfonation, ethoxylation, propoxylation, and carboxylation
• Experience in process safety, technology transfer, and scale-up
• Strong analytical, documentation, and leadership skills

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Lead and mentor a team of chemists to deliver R&D and process development projects.

- Develop, optimize, and scale-up processes from lab to pilot and commercial scale.

- Conduct tech transfer, prepare process documentation, and ensure on-floor implementation.

- Collaborate with production, EHS, and quality teams for safe and smooth execution.

- Drive innovation through non-infringing, cost-effective, and sustainable chemistry solutions.
