Research and Development Head

You will be responsible for developing breeding strategies for field crops and vegetables, with a focus on rice breeding. Your role will involve managing breeding programs and operations, as well as developing testing plans to ensure successful implementation at the ground level. Additionally, you will be required to implement advanced breeding techniques and technologies to improve key traits and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate breeding strategies. To excel in this position, you must have a Ph.D. in Genetics & Plant Breeding, along with 15 to 20 years of proven experience in rice breeding. It is essential to possess a strong knowledge of genetic markers, molecular breeding techniques, and statistical analysis. Proficiency in relevant breeding software and data analysis tools is also required. Furthermore, excellent project management skills and strategic thinking abilities, including generating new ideas and asking the right questions, are crucial for success in this role.
