You will be working as a Suspension Engineer at IBC, Bangalore, aligned with the Team Lead - VDC Design and as a member of the VE - VDC design team at Ather. Your responsibilities will include working with suppliers to integrate the suspension system and tires into Ather's product, creating drawings as per standards, supporting all aspects of product development and build, and being the Single Point of Contact for all internal and external communication. Your role will involve evaluating suspension and tires from vendors technically, writing detailed requirements for the tires and suspension system, generating concepts and options based on vendor inputs, developing innovative test plans, liaising with suppliers to meet internal release and testing milestones, defining End of Line requirements for the vendor, owning all interfaces internally, and performing Interaction FMEAs. Furthermore, you will need to adhere to the Design Maturity Model, draft and execute DVP for suspension and tires, coordinate testing to ensure validation timelines are met, and use root cause analysis methods such as Pareto chart, Ishikawa, 5 why, FMEAtoidentify the source of problems in the field, assembly, and design. Your role will also involve coming up with reliable, cost-effective solutions within tight constraints in a production environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of suspension systems and tires for two-wheelers, appreciation of Vehicle Dynamics testing, suspension sizing and selection, DFx of various components of a suspension system, and awareness of relevant quality and homologation standards. To be successful in this role, you should hold a B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech/M.E. or equivalent with specialization in Mechanical/Machine Design/Vehicle dynamics and have 4-8 years of relevant experience working in suspension design and vehicle dynamics.,
