Job Description

Job Description: We are looking for someone to join us at Ranchi or neighbouring districts to work at the special schools for the blind in Ranchi. The candidate has to engage with students and teachers with visual impairment, understand their challenges and implement the Vision Empower interventions at the special schools. The work involves travelling to schools to train teachers and conduct classes for students on accessible Science, Mathematics and Computational Thinking. It will also involve training the teachers and students on usage of the accessible and assistive technologies specifically created / provided by Vision Empower for the education of persons with visual impairment. Key Responsibilities 1. Engagement with Students and Teachers: Interact closely with students and teachers at special schools for the blind. Understand the challenges faced by individuals with visual impairment. 2. Implementation of Vision Empower Interventions: Implement Vision Empower interventions at 2 special schools in Ranchi. Ensure effective execution of accessible Science, Mathematics, and Computational Thinking programs. 3. Training and Capacity Building: Travel to schools to conduct training sessions for teachers. Facilitate classes on accessible Science, Mathematics, and Computational Thinking for students. Guide the usage of accessible and assistive technologies designed by Vision Empower and its partners. 4. Collaboration: Collaborate with school staff to address specific educational needs of students with visual impairment. Develop positive relationships with teachers and students. 5. Technology Integration: Train teachers and students on the usage of Vision Empower's accessible and assistive technologies. Ensure seamless integration of technology into the educational curriculum. 6. Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly monitor and report the progress and impact of Vision Empower interventions to the State Coordinator and Regional Manager. Generate reports on the effectiveness of implemented programs. Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹20,215.57 - ₹29,275.49 per month Benefits: Health insurance Schedule: Day shift Work Location: In person
