JD for Reports Developer / Data Migration Specialist We are seeking an experienced Reports Developer / Data Migration Specialist with a proven Experience of 5+ years in Oracle databases to support the migration of data from legacy systems to Oracle platforms and develop high-quality reports for business analysis. This role involves overseeing the complete data migration process, ensuring data integrity, and delivering critical reports that empower decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Data Migration Specialist: Data Mapping : Identify the structure of source data (legacy systems, databases) and map it to the target data model (Oracle). ETL Process : Extract data from various sources, transform it according to business rules, and load it into the target Oracle database. Data Quality : Ensure data integrity, consistency, and completeness throughout the migration process. Database Conversion : Convert legacy databases or systems to Oracle, ensuring compatibility and proper data storage. Data Validation : Validate that the migrated data is accurate and aligns with business expectations. Performance Tuning : Ensure that the migration process does not degrade system performance, particularly with large data sets. Data Analysis : Analyze business requirements and determine how data is structured in Oracle to generate meaningful reports. Report Developer: SQL Development : Write complex SQL queries to extract and process data. Report Creation : Use tools like Oracle Reports , Oracle BI Publisher , or Oracle Analytics to create, manage, and deliver reports. Dashboard Development : Develop visual dashboards to summarize key business metrics. Performance Optimization : Write efficient SQL queries to ensure fast report generation, especially with large data sets. Automation : Set up automated reports and workflows to regularly distribute reports to stakeholders. Required Qualifications: Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science , Information Technology , or a related field (or equivalent work experience). A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in report development and/or data migration . Strong proficiency in Oracle databases , SQL , and PL/SQL for data manipulation and reporting. Experience with ETL tools such as Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) , Oracle Data Pump , or similar is good to have. Familiarity with Oracle BI Publisher , Oracle Reports , and Oracle Analytics for reporting and dashboard creation.
